Can't seem to find a stator that works properly? Try checking the charging/lighting wires coming from your stator. If they have continuity to the engine case, you have a half-wave stator. If the charging/lighting wires only have continuity with each other, you have a full wave stator. You will need a compatible regulator/rectifier for whichever type of stator you have. Typically, 6 and 8 pole stators are half wave (single phase) and 11/12/18 pole stators are full wave (three phase.)
